Q: How do I access my listings on LandAndFarm.com?
A: You must log into the account we created for you. This account is based on the email address connected to the listings. More specifically, it is connected to the office-email or agent-email fields, depending upon on how the data was entered into the database, in which the listings reside. You must know what email address, if any, is connected to your listings in the CREST-EDG database, to start the process. Once you know this information you can obtain your login information. To get your login information, click on "login" on the front page of landandfarm.com and then click on "retrieve account information". You can then enter the relevant email address that is associated with the listing in the CREST-EDG system and your login information will be sent to that email address.
Q: I entered my email address as explained above and the page says you could not find an account for me, why?
A: That means we did not import any listings with that email address. The listings did not qualify for inclusion on LandAndFarm.com, probably because some necessary data was lacking (acreage, description, zip code, county, or email address). The CREST upload to LandAndFarm.com is updated regularly; update your CREST listing with one or more of the necessary data elements, as described above, and your listing should show up after the next update.
Q: I logged into my account and see my listing is "on-air." What does that mean?
A: That means your listings are visible on LandAndFarm.com to site visitors.
Q: I logged into my account and see my listing is "off-air." What does that mean?
A: That means your listing came to us in a previous feed, and then something changed: either the listing was not in the most recent feed (the most common reason), or something in the listing changed, such as the CREST listing ID number, or the email address connected to the listing. So our system 'turned the listing off.' When it sees that listing - with the exact same ID - in the next feed, our system will then 'turn the listing on.' At that point, the listing will be "on-air." This facet of the feed ensures that only listings that are live on CREST are displayed on LandAndFarm.com.
Q: I see "Search Properties" and "My Properties" in the Home-page toolbar; are these listings too?
A: We use the terms 'properties,' 'listings' and, sometimes, 'ads' interchangeably at LandAndFarm.com. Listings/properties/ads can be found via the menu of categories, (e.g. location, price, acreage) along the left-hand side of the page, below the green menu (keep scrolling down and you'll see it). You can also browse those categories using the mini-links in the center of the homepage just below the toolbar. And, you can search for listings/properties/ads using the "Search Properties" link in the homepage toolbar, which can be found in the upper left-hand corner of the page. You will also see seven listings/properties/ads in the center of the homepage. "My Properties" leads - if you are signed in - to your account page, where you will see your listings.
Q: I want photos on my listings on LandAndFarm.com, how can I accomplish that?
A: You must upgrade your listing. To do this, sign in to your account using the login, as referenced above. In your account, you will see your listings. Below the listings are a series of links. Click on the one that says, "Turn On." This will take you to a page where you will see pricing plans, with check boxes next to them. Choose the first one - $9.95, half - price - and then go to the bottom of the page and click "Continue" or "Submit." If you are satisfied with the content of the listing, click through again until you come to a payments page. Input your payment info and submit the ad for payment.
Q: I am an agent, the broker in my office wants all the listings on LandAndFarm.com in one account, what do I do?
A: Log into your account on LandAndFarm.com and click on "redirect listings" on the Account Summary page. Then enter the email address of the broker's LandAndFarm.com account. If the system responds that it could not find their account, have them register and log in again and enter the email address with which they registered.
Q: I am a broker and I want my agents' listings to go to my account, not to separate accounts.
A: Have your agent log into their account on LandAndFarm.com and redirect the listings to your account as described above.
Q: What properties are uploaded from CREST-EDG to LandAndFarm.com?
A: Properties that we consider 'rural,' and are defined as property types 8, 11, 14, 43, 80, 81, 82, 86, 92, or 93 in the CREST system; these are listed below:
Farm/Ranch Vacant Land (10+ Acres) Historic Home Resort Business Land - Agricultural (Not Zoned) Land - Single Family Acreage Land - Multi-Family Acreage Vacant Land (0-10 Acres) COMM Farm / Ranch COMM Vacant Land (10+ Acres) COMM
Q: What properties are excluded from the upload?
A: Several kinds of properties are excluded, if they lack certain pieces of information: 1) Properties with no acreage (the title or description must contain "XX acres" to be uploaded 2) Properties with no description 3) Properties with no zip code 4) Properties with no county 5) Properties with no email address for the agent
Therefore, if your listing is a rural property, but you cannot find it on LandAndFarm.com, this may be because it lacks the above information. Confirm that the required information is included, or add it, and check back after the next upload (see below).
Q: If my properties are not on LandAndFarm.com, what can I do?
A: We recommend you confirm that all the data requested above is included in the listing (acreage, description, zip code, county, email address). Also confirm that the property type is one that is being exported by Realogy to LandAndFarm.com, as listed above and then in the CREST system. Once you have performed both of these tasks, and you still do not see your properties on Land And Farm - and believe they should be listed - please call our office at 1-888-FARM-BUY.
Q: How often are listings updated on LandAndFarm.com?
A: At least once per week, usually on Saturday, but for the time being the exact day may vary.
Q: Can I edit my listings on LandAndFarm.com?
A: Yes, you must log into your account at LandAndFarm.com and then you can edit your listings. However, if your listings are free (also called BASIC) then your edits will be over-written the next time we upload new listings from CREST. To have your edits stay on the system, you will need to upgrade your listing using the special introductory pricing we're offering to Century 21, ERA and Coldwell Banker brokers and agents.
